The deadline to submit to the 2021 Mini Murals Program Artists Registry has been extended to March 31, 2021. Visit the Artist Info page of our website for an overview of the program and application instructions. We’ve revamped the Mini Murals website to include more robust information for artists and sponsors. Are you interested in submitting artwork for a commissioned mini mural or sponsoring a mini mural in your district? Head on over to the newly launched Mini Murals website for details.
The East Aldine Arts Council has funded the creation of two new Mini Murals in major traffic intersections in an effort to expand the public art offerings of the district. “These Mini Murals are a wonderful stepping stone for more art in the public sphere here in East Aldine,” said district board member Carlos Silva in the recent feature on the East Aldine District’s website.
UP Art Studio Co-Founder, Elia Quiles, had the opportunity to sit down with Lauren Kelly from Houston Life and share how the Mini Murals program has grown over the years. Watch the interview posted on Houston Life’s website.
